Dr. Sakti Das
Sakti is a Professor Emeritus of Urology presently working at Alameda County Medical Center. He is inspired by a passion to teach as well as by a passion to help the underserved. This is both what keeps him grounded in the East Bay as well as what motivates him to serve internationally.
For the last two decades, he’s traveled around the globe to work in partnership with others on International medical missions. He has also supported several primary education centers in the developing world and, in doing so, has been the motivating force behind Foundation For Freedom.

Niall Battson
Niall is a Senior Product Manager for eASIC, a semiconductor company in Silicon Valley. Before eASIC he acquired over 5 years of marketing and product management experience in the fortune 500 company Xilinx.
As well as being a Board of Director he is also the Director of Marketing for the Foundation for Freedom. Before joining, Niall gained significant non-profit experience with many non-profits including Habitat for Humanity, Grace Cathedral, Project Open Hand, SF Food Bank and Tsunami Volunteer in Thailand. He has a BSC (hons) degree in Electronic Engineering from University in East Anglia, UK and UC Davis, CA.

Abeer Choudhury
Abeer lives in San Francisco and works for a software company in the area. His inspiration to help support international schools that are in need stems from his grandfather who was a school teacher in a small village in Bengal in the 1930’s.
He is currently the US coordinator for our Bangladesh projects.

Allen Heery
Allen worked at Morgan Stanley for fourteen years specializing in finance and accounting. During his time at Morgan Stanley his roles included CFO for MSCI Inc. and served a director on a number of MSCI worldwide companies.
Currently Allen is a consultant in the Finance industry. Allen received a BSc in Mathematics from Cardiff University and is UK Chartered Accountant. He lives in San Francisco, CA with his wife Yuko and two children.

Andy Kahn
Andy is a designer and builder in Oakland. He helped build houses in Sri Lanka after the Tsunami and volunteered with an educational and environmental nonprofit in Malawi.
He is interested in affordable housing locally and abroad and in education as a way out of poverty. He has two great kids and two beautiful grandkids.

Joya Pramanik
Joya works as a product manager at Amyris Biotechnologies. She has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkely.
As a mother of a young daughter, she is interested in leaving the world a better place. Her interests lie in traveling, cooking, reading and learning new languages.

Rajiv Pramanik
Rajiv is a family man with a lovely little son, Haruto, littler daughter Asha(chan), and beautiful wife, Naho (and a FANTASTIC sister, Joya!!). He is an emergency physician working with the underserved and has always wanted to get more involved in helping people alongside his mentor, Sakti Uncle.
His hobbies include traveling, learning foreign languages (currently working on Japanese because of his wife, son & daughter), reading thriller novels, and playing team sports.

Shalin Sheth
Shalin is a computer engineer working for a semiconductor start-up named Tabula. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, biking, climbing, running, learning Japanese and traveling.
He works with a number of non-profit organizations including OneBrick, Habitat for Humanity, Grid Alternatives and Engineers Without Borders. His social interests are centered in education, housing and alternative energy.
