Kriparampur Free Primary School is located in the most underdeveloped deltaic region of the South 24 Paragans District of West Bengal, India. The school has one hall (70 ft) with mud floor, no proper windows and doors. There are not enough number of benches. Most of the students sit on the mud floor. The area gets about 100 inches of rainfalls during Monsoon between June and September. Because of inclement weather and water logging, classes remain suspended frequently. The problem can be alleviated if the school has a better school building and benches and chairs, which are essential requirements.

The School is located in the most underdeveloped part of one of the most underdeveloped District of the State of West Bengal. The area is inhabited by agricultural laborers, and the literacy rate is very low. Most of the schools were originally established through private initiative, the condition of the school depends on local economy. Due to the endemic poverty and poor infrastructure, the condition of the School is very bad. Because of lack of basic minimum facilities, the drop out rate is high. A renovated school building with functioning facilities will create an environment conducive to learning and continued attendance.
